And you want to write a song about the moon
You want to write a spiritual tune
Then nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Presto, a song about the moon
If you want to write a song about the heart
Think about the moon before you start
Because the heart will howl like a dog in the moonlight
And the heart can explode like a pistol on a June night
— Paul Simon, Song About the Moon (1983)
Short on time as I prep for treatment this morning. Thought I’d share a song that just felt good to me this morning. I think we all could use something to make us feel a little better these days as so much seems designed to make us feel less than good.
Makes me want to get up on the roof most nights.
And when I see the faces of those eight moons looming back at me, I feel like I am being heard…
All I can ask.
Got to run. Have a hankering for a little radiation this morning.
Breakfast of champions…
