Weird and creepy hardly begins to describe these. I can’t help wondering what they did with Valentine’s Day, or Easter. Those wacky Victorians.
I’m thinking you might have some Christmas morning snow. I’ve taken to keeping the Cornell feeder cams in Ithaca open, and I see it’s snowing there this morning. Last night, I heard a bit of a ruckus around midnight, and got to watch some flying squirrels. I wouldn’t have known what they were, but a fellow from Hamburg, Germany (!!) identified them, and it was confirmed on the Cornell site this morning. They were great fun to see.
Wishing you and yours a merry and non-creepy Christmas!
What a coincidence! Last night, Cheri was putting seed out after it was dark and had two flying squirrels hurtling up and down the tree next to her. They are normally quite shy but these guys made no effort to dash away. Must be that flying squirrels celebrate freely on Christmas eve! Have a nice day, Linda.
