There’s a lot to be said about love, romance and Valentine’s Day. But I have a busy day so it will have to wait until another day.
If that ain’t romantic, I don’t know what is.
Anyway, have a great day. evening, whatever with the one you love. Here’s Valentine’s Day from Bruce Springsteen from all the way back in 1987. Wow, do I feel old today!
As old as I did as a friend in knitting group and I tried to remember if it was the Kinks who did “Over Under Sideways Down”? (it was the Yardbirds, actually.) She found it on YouTube and remembered the song once she heard it. Came out in 1966. (Just FYI, the members of the Yardbirds at one time or another included Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton who left to form Cream, Jimmy Paige and John Paul Jones. both of whom left to form Led Zepplin.)(and our Trivia of the Day: It was David McCallum’s dad, who played first violin in Mantovani’s orchestra who suggested to Jimmy Paige that he use a cello bow to play his guitar.)
I didn’t know the fact about Illya Kuryakin (another tribute to the age) but I knew his father was with the London Philharmonic. I loved the Yardbirds. The first thing I thought when I saw the name in your comment was the song “For Your Love” and how that would have been a good song for the day. Had to go to YouTube to hear it immediately. A good start to the day– thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn6cxaKRwtk
